Bringing people together to raise funds and awareness for The Rise Up Movement.
The Rise Up Movement
The Rise Up Movement is a Ballito-based community organisation working across KwaZulu-Natal to raise awareness of gender-based violence, human trafficking and child abuse, and to help people build the skills to lift themselves out of poverty.
When gender-based violence spiked during the 2020 lockdown, the movement started the Silent Demonstration, a peaceful awareness campaign that has since been held at locations across the province. Alongside it they run school talks on bullying, sexual offences, kidnapping and substance abuse, community outreach days, and life-skills and skills-development training.
They work in partnership with SAPS in the iLembe District, including SAPS Umhlali. Every ticket for Bubbles & Padel goes towards this work.
